Modern Drunkard Magazine - This magazine has been around for more than a decade and it's a hell of a lot better than the drivel I come up with... funny too.
Keweenaw Brewing Company - A brewery up in the cold-lands of Michigan with damn good beer at prices that could lead you to a shameless night of debauchery and still have money to buy off witnesses... or just a very pleasant evening in a fine, warm atmosphere that won't require you to calculate a budget.
Ashley's - Whiskey flights and 70+ taps of GOOD beer. If you're in Ann Arbor to laugh at the hippies or lament gentrification, this is one bar you want to hit.
McDermott's Pub - Should you find yourself in Ireland, you'll inevitably have quite the selection of superb drinking establishments, but these folks gave me a free brandy so they get a special little note in my book.
McGann's Pub - Let me tell you, Irish coffee is better in Ireland! None of that sweetened, canned whipped cream crap they stick you with here in the states. If you've already made it to McDermott's then there's no harm in popping down the street and giving your patronage to McGann's as you stumble around on the unlit streets. Local music abounds here and if you know how to play they are happy to listen.
